United’s Midfielder Is Set To Leave In January After Less Than 1.5 Years With Man United

Manchester United’s midfielder is set to leave his current team in the upcoming winter transfer windows, in January, to his former club after the disappointing performance the midfielder is recently having.

 

According to several news sources and reports such as BBC, Henrikh Mkhitaryan is set to leave the Old Trafford in January after his shaky performance recently and Jose Mourinho’s, Manchester United’s manager, critics of him underperforming and dropping him from the recent matches.

Jose Mourinho criticised Henrikh Mkhitaryan by saying:” Mkhitaryan’s performance was decreasing step by step. I am not happy with Mkhitaryan’s last performances. I am not talking about one or two matches, I am talking about three, four, or five performances.

Jose Mourinho doesn’t seem happy with the Armenian midfielder and dropped him out from the last matches for Anthony Martial and Juan Mata, who performed better than Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s recent performances.

According to BBC, Borussia Dortmund is showing real interest in signing back their former player and star in January, especially after suffering this season with several players left the club, such as Ousmane Dembele who left for Barcelona for a historical record fee.

 

Henrikh Mkhitaryan arrived for the Old Trafford in the summer of 2016 for a fee of 26.3m GBP, and Borussia Dortmund is ready to sign him back for a similar fee.

Knowing that Borussia Dortmund had previously bought the Manchester United player, Shinji Kagawa, back after arriving at Manchester United in 2012 and spending two seasons at the Old Trafford from 2012-2014, and also with their player Mario Gotze who left for Bayern Munich and then returned to Borussia Dortmund last season.
