Manchester United will be playing against Huddersfield Town today after the very disappointing results this week against Tottenham Hotspurs where the Red Devils lost in 11 seconds only, according to Jose Mourinho.
Manchester United will be playing in a very strong squad today, expected to be the same as the one that Jose Mourinho started against Tottenham Hotspurs in the Premier League last week at Wembley to be able to win against Huddersfield Town in a match that Manchester United can use to get back on the winning track.
According to Manchester Evening News, they spotted the players who arrived at the hotel yesterday in Manchester ahead of their match against Huddersfield Town today, Saturday, and the spotted squad included several players missing such as Phil Jones, a defender, and Ander Herrera, a midfielder.
The squad is as the following:
Goalkeepers: David de Gea, Sergio Romero, and Joel Pereira
Defenders: Antonio Valencia, Victor Lindelof, Chris Smalling, Marcos Rojo, Luke Shaw, and Ashley Young
Midfielders: Nemanja Matic, Paul Pogba, Scott McTominay, Michael Carrick, and Jesse Lingard
Forwards: Juan Mata, Alexis Sanchez, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, and Romelu Lukaku
The drop of several players, as spotted by Manchester Evening News team, comes after the disappointing performance from Phil Jones who scored one own goal, and was the reason behind the first goal which came after 11 seconds only. Moreover, Marouane Fellaini is dropped as well due to a knee injury.
Marcos Rojo is expected to replace Phil Jones today, and we expect the following starting Xl today.
