PLAYERS RATINGS: Man United 2-1 Leicester City And Man Of The Match.

Manchester United began the match in an amazing way where the team was fighting for the ball and pressing on the opponent with fast enjoyable attacking football compared to last season, but after scoring the first goal, the team went back to the bus plan and Leicester City were more dangerous than Manchester United.

Alexis Sanchez, Manchester United’s forward, won a penalty, which Paul Pogba scored, after just two minutes after a strong shot on target which touched Leicester City’s player arm to give the Red Devils an early advantage which turned out to be a bad thing to Manchester United.

Moreover, Luke Shaw scored a late goal seven minutes before the end of the match to guarantee Manchester United’s win.

However, the match ended 2-1, as expected, where Manchester United and David De Gea failed to maintain a cleansheet in the opening match.

Lindelof: Had some shaky moments, was good today compared to last season. 6/10

Bailey: Was solid in the defense, cleared some dangerous balls but was reckless sometimes. 7/10

Pereira: Was calm on the ball, a good match. But he has to improve his positioning. 7/10

Mata: Was poor today, unlike the preseason. But made a very important pass that led to Luke Shaw’s second goal. 7/10

Sanchez: His shot gave his team an early important penalty. Made some good effort and was dangerous when he had the ball and with his passes. But as Paul Pogba, his performance declined throughout the match. 7/10

Rashford: Wasn’t so good. Bad position and seemed lost where to stay and how to move or where to pass the ball. 6/10

Lukaku: Missed a one on one chance on the 78th minute, wasn’t in his top form. 5/10

McTominay: Average, not much to do. 5/10

Fellaini: No enough time to do anything, came to secure the result. 5/10

Man of the match: None of Manchester United players really deserves it, except David De Gea who was consistent and did his job.

Jose Mourinho (Manager): A good win, but he had to clarify the roles to the players and who is the penalty taker as well. The team went back to defending after scoring the first goal, where they had to play and fight for more goals instead. However, an unconvinced important win for Manchester United. 7/10
