PLAYERS RATINGS: Man United 2-0 Huddersfield And Man Of The Match

A very average first half for Manchester United, and a better second half even though many key players were missing from this match, but a great win for Manchester United against a tough team who Manchester City suffered against, and Manchester United lost against before.

Here are our player ratings and man of the match for today’s match

De Gea:  We didn’t see him today, maybe he was taking a nap, nothing to do at all. 6/10

Smalling:  Was better today, nothing much to do defensively. 6/10

Rojo: A good match as well. 6/10

Valencia: Had some good passes, a good match as well. 6/10

Shaw: Was solid today, contributed in the crosses as well. 7/10

Matic: A good match, had to be subbed off to rest him after the second goal. 7/10

McTominay: One of the best players on the pitch, very solid and promising. Didn’t seem like a youngster at all. 8/10

Lingard: A good start, then his form and pace declined. But a better match had some dangerous moments. 6/10

Sanchez:  One of the best on the pitch, he didn’t seem adapted with Lingard and Lukaku, but he was dangerous and scored his first goal. Was always bother Huddersfield’s defense and everyone tackling him.  8/10

Mata: Was dangerous, but he is better against big teams and not with small teams that defend and don’t leave any spaces. Had a couple of misplaces passes, but a good match. 7/10

Lukau: Wasn’t that good during the match, but scored one goal, a very important goal. 6/10

Rashford: Didn’t seem so good. 4/10

Pogba:  Maybe dropping him was a lesson for him, but his presence was noticed. 6/10

Martial: Always dangerous, especially inside the 18 yards area. 5/10

Man of the match: Alexis Sanchez was always running and making effort, had some misplaced passes like his recent time at Arsenal, but was always dangerous and shooting with six shots, two more than any second player in Manchester United and scored the winning goal.

Jose Mourinho (Manager): A good match, weird decisions at the beginning of the match, but the win justified them. We hope the players who were dropped improve themselves. However, he needs to do some work to make Alexis Sanchez adapt with the front players, and insist on the group work and not selfishness. A good win though. 7/10
