A different first half and match from Manchester United than the previous two matches, and especially the match against Brighton, where Manchester United suffered to impress.
Manchester United had a good tactical first half where they dominated. However, in the second half, everything was different. Manchester United conceded two early goals within two minutes, and then the third goal in the last minutes of the second half to make it a historical loss for Manchester United at home against Tottenham Hotspurs.
Here are our player ratings and the man of the match for today’s match
De Gea: Again, the best player. Saved Alli’s one on one chance. Even though he made a silly pass on the 25th minute. 7/10
Smalling: Better than Jones, did well in the first half mainly. Was able to do better in the second half, especially in the third goal. 5/10
Jones: Was shaky, not so good today. Poor pass to Matic on the 25th minute. Wasn’t marking well in both goals. 5/10
Valencia: Not the player that can play for Man United now, a poor match. 5/10
Shaw: Was decent today, helping in the attack and defense. 7/10
Matic: Wasn’t in his top form, but was okay. Played more as a Center back in a back three. 6/10
Herrera: Was fighting today and was even playing as a center back sometimes. 7/10
Pogba: Was really poor, barely touched the ball 3 times in the first 25 minutes. 5/10
Fred: Was decent. especially in the attacking side where he was close to scoring several times. 7/10
Lingard: His pace caused some issues for Tottenham, but not his best performance. 6/10
Lukaku: Missed an open net chance on the 16th minute. Was so poor sometimes today. 5/10
Sanchez: Helped the team in the attack. But couldn’t do much. 5/10
Lindelof: Committed a deadly mistake that made Alli in a one on one position with De Gea. 4/10
Fellaini: Brought some stability in the midfield in the attack and defense. 5/10
Man of the match: None of Manchester United players, again. Maybe just De Gea did his job.
Jose Mourinho (Manager): Good tactical first half, but he lost the plot in the second half. The things are getting out of Mourinho’s hands. 5/10
