Jose Mourinho has finally officially confirmed that Marcos Rojo, Paul Pogba, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are will take part of the match against Newcastle United tomorrow, Saturday, in the Premier League.
Jose Mourinho said:“Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and Marcos Rojo are all set to be named in the squad for the weekend clash, tomorrow.”
Marcos Rojo didn’t play since April due to the injury he picked up in the Europa League match and has played 45 minutes last Wednesday with the reserve team to make sure he is 100% fit to be back to the main squad.
On the other hand, Zlatan Ibrahimovic didn’t play since April as well due to the injury he picked up in the Europa League quarter-final against Anderlecht.
Finally, Paul Pogba picked up an injury in the Champions League match against Basel last September and his injury was mysterious with Jose Mourinho refusing to give any accurate update about his return date or the nature of his injury, which some rumors suggested that it may be like Zlatan’s injury.
Jose Mourinho said about Zlatan Ibrahimovic:” He has fully recovered but you can’t expect him to be ready to play the full match or consecutive matches like before from now.”
Mourinho continued:”He, Zlatan, needs some time to be back to his top form, confidence, and sharpness”
