Man United Vs Swansea City In The EFL Cup Players Ratings And Man Of The Match.

Man United started the first five minutes, but later things changed. Man United was lucky to finish the first half 1-0 with the individual mistakes, especially from Lindelof. Moreover, Mourinho tried a new 3-5-2 formation today. However, Man United was able to end the match with a 2-0 win.

Romero: Nothing much to do. Just one good save in the second half. 6/10

Lindelof: Was going to give 2 easy goals for Norwich. Worst player in this game.  1/10

Smalling: Good match, was doing some of Lindelof’s job as well. 6/10

Darmian:  Average match. But had some good contributions and passes. 6/10

Blind:    Seemed a bit shaky in some passes and was going to cause an own goal. Booked as well. 5/10

McTominay: Good match, taking into consideration he isn’t a senior player.  5/10

Herrera:  Was alone in the midfield, can’t do all the job alone as the only senior player and midfield leader. 6/10

Tuanzebe :  Was helping in the midfield and in the back defensive line as well. Missed a grate chance to score in the second half though. Booked at the end. 6/10

Martial: Caused some issues for Swansea’s defense. 6/10

Lingard: He was energetic and everywhere on the pitch today, and scored two goal. 8/10

Rashford:  what a world class assist! But he needs to rest, seemed in pain in the first half.  7/10

Subs: 

Lukaku:  Didn’t impress after coming off the bench. Maybe Mourinho didn’t want to attack and just rest some players. N/A

Matic: Brought balance and stability for the midfield. 6/10

Shaw:  N/A

Man of the match: Lingard without any doubt. Two goals and an energetic and accurate runs on the pitch.

Jose Mourinho (Manager): I don’t think he can do anything with no players available to rotate. A good win for Man United and Mourinho. 7/10
