A dead match like the previous matches against Liverpool. However, it was a good point for Man United more than Liverpool who was keen to gain the three points to be back on the right track.
It was our first match against the top 6 teams, but it was a hard draw where both teams were defending and attacking at the same time.
Mourinho also showed his decision to go out with one point but entering Lindelof to defend instead of another forward to help attacking.
Our players ratings are as the following:
De Gea: What a save by his leg in the first half! Brilliant!. 8/10
Jones: Calm game. Nothing much to do but defended well. 7/10
Smalling: Good game but got booked. 6/10
Valencia: Nothing much to do. Seemed a bit tired from his national team double fixture. 6/10
Darmian: Saved a dangerous ball by his head in the first half. 7/10
Matic: The typical Matic. Missed Pogba’s assistance and he was marked by several Liverpool players. 7/10
Herrera: Tried to help offensively, but it was a dead match. 7/10
Young: Attacking and defending well, but couldn’t make the difference. 6/10
Martial: Was one of the most dangerous players. But got subbed off 7/10
Mkhitaryan: Not as creative as usual. 6/10
Lukaku: Missed the most dangerous chance for Man United in the first half. Was going to get booked as well with a reckless decision. 5/10
Rashford: Was injured and couldn’t play from the beginning. 6/10
Lingard: Nothing much to do. He didn’t make the any difference. 6/10
Man of the match: Non of Man United players really impressed. De Gea was the best, but he may not be the best player on the pitch.
Jose Mourinho (Manager): He showed a balance between the attack and offense. However, failed to break Liverpool’s defense lines who is one of the weakest among the top 6 teams. But gained one valuable point in one of the biggest matches in the Premier League away from home. 7/10
