Man United Vs Benfica Players Ratings And Man Of The Match

Manchester United played their third Champions League match this season against Benfica. The first half Man United couldn’t do or try much, the team seemed exhausted from the consequetive matches in the Premier League and Champions league, especially the front line players who are barely replaceable.

Our players ratings are as the following:

De Gea: Like usual, one of United’s best players on the pitch with couple of good saves. 7/10

Lindelof:  Nothing much to do against his former club.  5/10

Smalling: average as well. 5/10

Valencia:  Booked 5/10

Blind:   Average match and booked. 5/10

Matic: did his defensive job and tried to help offensively by couple of shoots.  7/10

Herrera:  like the other players. he was pretty average. 5/10

Rashford:  One of United’s most energetic players, but not his best. His free kick saved Man United by the help of Benfica’s keeper as well. 6/10

Mata: Was one of the the only players trying in the fist half. 6/10

Mkhitaryan: We didn’t see him this match especially in the first half except in the counter attack. 5/10

Lukaku:  Random ball distribution and missing chances in the first half. Maybe of of his worst appearances this season. 5/10

Subs:

Lingard:  Booked. N/A

Martia: He gave a good impression, but he was a bit selfish in his first chance. 6/10

McTominay:  N/A

Man of the match: Non of Man United players really impressed it in my opinion. Rashford was the best among the players though.

Jose Mourinho (Manager): He should re think about the starting Xl in order to rest the players. They started to get affected by the conservative matches with the team injuries. 6/10
