In a breaking news today, Wednesday, from different sources about Manchester United’s newly arrived striker, Alexis Sanchez, the news suggests that Alexis Sanchez may face prison.
Alexis Sanchez arrived from the Premier League club, Arsenal FC, two weeks ago, in a swap deal where the arrival of the Chilean international is considered as one of the best transfers during the winter transfer windows during January, and the best transfer inside the Premier League this year so far.
However, Alexis Sanchez got a bad news recently where the news suggest that Alexis Sanchez has been sentenced to jail for 16 months due to tax fraud.
Alexis Sanchez is accused of not declaring his full revenue from the rights of the images when he was a Barcelona player in Spain before he comes to Arsenal in the Premier League back in 2014, and the court in Spain sentenced the Chilean player for 16 months.
However, Alexis Sanchez accepted to pay a fine instead of going to jail and Manchester United’s all-time highest paid player, Alexis Sanchez, will be paying a fine estimated to be around 590,065 Euros, 524,575 British Pounds, for the Spanish government due to the tax fraud.
The laws in Spain allow the persons who are sentenced to jail for less than 24 months due to tax fraud issues, to be able to pay a huge fine instead of going to jail where the 16 months punishment will be suspended for now because it’s the first time as well.
Knowing that several other footballers in Spain are facing such issues such as Lionel Messi from Barcelona FC, Luka Modric from Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid, and others.
