4 Man United Players Are Included In UEFA Team Of The Year Shortlist

The Union of European Football Associations, UEFA, has officially released their official shortlist for the UEFA nominees of the team of the year, and four players from Manchester United are included.

UEFA has announced today their nominee’s list which includes 50 players, and four Manchester United players made it to the shortlist. The players are David De Gea, Antonio Valencia, Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

The players were nominated due to their performances in the European competitions in 2017. All the players have won the UEFA Europa League trophy last season, and Paul Pogba has won the best player of the tournament award as well.

In addition to Europa League, their current performance in the Champions League helped them get into the shortlist where Manchester United have won four matches in the Champions League group stages so far, and today will play the fifth match against FC Basel.

The players were chosen according to UEFA’s official website poll which allows the supporters to vote and to choose their own favorite Xl that they think deserves to be the UEFA team of the year.

Congratulations to Manchester United and their players!
